Challenge #9 – No coloring allowed

23 Apr

Hello, and welcome to a new Young Crafters Unite challenge! We hope you will be able to join us in this challenge =)

This month’s challenge

So the challenge this month is to make a card/project, without coloring anything at all. That means no copics, colored pencils, markers or anything of that sort allowed! We hope you’ll enjoy working with this challenge =)

Awesome Design Team contributions

We are so lucky to have a great design team to give you lots of inspiration for this fun challenge. We also have some fabulous news concerning our DT… We are lucky to now have two new DT members in our YCU design team! Please give a warm welcome to Chunyuan and Danielle! We look forward to working with you, and seeing your awesome creations =) We asked Chunyuan and Danielle to share a little bit about themselves with us (and you!), so you can get to know them better. We know you’re soon going to adore them as much as we already do!

Introducing… Chunyuan Wu!

My name is Chunyuan Wu.  I am a researcher in public health science area.  I live with my husband and two preschoolers in Seattle, WA.  I love the process of card making that helps bringing out my inner creative spirit.   I love all aspects of paper crafts – color, pattern, embellishments, and techniques.   Now, I have become a voracious reader of the online world of card making blogs. I feel so privileged to be part of this inspiring community!  I am honored to be a member of the Young Crafters Unite challenge team.

… and Danielle Walls!

Hello! My name is Danielle Walls, and I am a 27 year old teacher turned stay-at-home mom. I’m lucky enough to be married to my best friend, and biggest supporter. Even though he doesn’t understand this whole paper and stamps thing, he still pretends to be interested! We have two little boys, and a chihuahua, Lucy.

I stumbled upon the world of paper crafting a little over a year ago and just can’t seem to stop! I love everything about stamps, ink, and paper, and it definitely helps me keep my sanity in a house full of boys. I’d describe my style as clean and simple for the most part, although I’m always up for trying something new. I love bright, bold colors, and fun, whimsical stamps. Perhaps more importantly, I love the friendships I have formed since starting my paper crafting journey. I’m thrilled to be joining such an amazing group of ladies.

With happy starts comes a fond goodbye

Our lovely design team member, Jess Larsen, has decided to step down from her position this month. She’s been very busy growing a sweet little bundle of joy, and we can’t wait to see her back sometime very soon. You’re an amazing crafter and dt member, Jess, and we’d be happy to have you back any time! Sending you love, hugs and best wishes to you and your lovely family. <3
